How do I end a customer's current subscription?

Cancel subscription, specific date, batches

Updated this week

Depending on how you initiated a recurring payment (such as a subscription) with your customer, you can cancel it.

Not sure how you submit your direct debits to PayPro? Then contact our support team via support@paypro.nl or +31 (0)85 401 1786.

Payment Page, Subscription Management, and Invoicing

Did you start a recurring payment through the payment page, subscription management, or invoicing? You can recognize this if your customer made the first payment via a method other than direct debit, such as iDEAL or Bancontact. Please note that this is not the case when using subscription management.

  1. In your PayPro account, go to the 'Subscriptions' overview in the left-hand column.

  2. In the top-right search bar, search for your customer’s name.

  3. Click on the row where the relevant customer is listed.

A pop-up window will now appear (as shown in the example above), where you will see 'Actions' in the top right.

  4. Click on the red button ‘Cancel Subscription’. By clicking this, the pop-up below will open, where you can make various choices. You can cancel the subscription immediately or on a specific date. You can also choose to cancel all outstanding and reversed payments. These can no longer be collected afterward.

  5. When you are satisfied with your selection, click ‘End Subscription’.

Batch

Do you submit direct debits for recurring payments via a batch file? In that case, we only process direct debits when you submit a batch. If you want to cancel a recurring payment, you can do so in the accounting software from which you generate the batch.

If you want to end an ongoing payment for a customer, check if you still want to collect one more installment. If so, inform your customer that one more direct debit will take place. This helps prevent the reversal of the payment and any associated costs.
