Updated over 5 months ago

We would like to inform you that we have amended our Service Agreement. The changes will take effect from 01-10-2024 for all our current and new customers. The service agreement on our website is leading. To clearly outline the changes, below is a brief summary of the key modifications.

Article C-1 Merchant Acceptance

  • Clause 1: PayPro will only accept your account after your identity as a user has been verified and approved according to the law and PayPro’s policy.

  • The current clauses 2 to 8 will be renumbered as clauses 3 to 9.

  • Clause 2 (new): Completing the acceptance process and providing correct information is necessary. If this is not done, you are still required to pay the agreed fees.

Section D – Funds and Payments

Article D-1 Payments

  • Clause 4 (new): You must check the status of a payment before delivering a product or service to a customer.

  • Clause 5 (new): The risk that PayPro and/or the custodian has not received a payment if the transaction does not have the status ‘paid’ or an equivalent thereof, depending on the payment method, lies with you as the seller.

  • Clause 6 (new): You explicitly authorize PayPro – and not you – to receive the payments, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Clause 7 (new): You are aware of the payment risk with PayPro and can insure yourself against it.

Article D-5 Fee

  • The current clauses 2 to 3 will be renumbered as clauses 3 to 4. Clause 2 (new): The fee can be monthly or yearly, depending on the choice you made for a monthly or yearly subscription at registration or at a later time.

Article D-6 Additional Fee

  • If PayPro has to perform extra work due to your actions, PayPro may charge additional costs for this. For example, if PayPro has to intervene in communication or receives a complaint from an Acquirer.

Section E – Miscellaneous

Article E-1 Duration of the Agreement

  • Clause 1: The agreement is for an indefinite period. You can terminate the agreement by email or via the dashboard, but you will not receive a refund for fees already paid.

  • The current clauses 2 to 6 will be renumbered as clauses 3 to 7.

  • Clause 2: If you have a monthly or yearly subscription, it will be automatically renewed for the chosen period unless you cancel the subscription at least one month in advance.

Article E-3 Rights and Obligations

  • Clause 10 (new): Depending on the payment method, you must have an easily accessible complaints procedure, for example via email and phone or chat.

  • Clause 11 (new): You must make the complaints procedure clearly and easily accessible to your customers.

  • Clause 12 (new): It is not allowed to use the service for purposes other than receiving payments from customers. For example, entering test transactions is not allowed.
