What is "Deeplinking"and how can I use it?

A deeplink refers to a specific page within a domain. As an affiliate, you can choose not to redirect visitors to the seller's homepage, but to a page within the same domain that is more relevant to the visitor.

The great advantage of deeplinking is that a visitor no longer has to search again for the information relevant to him or her. Without deeplinking, it is more likely that a visitor will drop out during his or her search process which results in fewer sales. As an affiliate, you want your affiliate link to redirect the visitor to a page within the seller's domain that is relevant to your visitors.ย

Below, we will explain how you can achieve that visitors arrive at a URL of your choice via your affiliate link. Here we take as an example the product 'Spanish Course'. If you do not use deeplinking, you would redirect the visitor to:

As an affiliate, you have written an article or post about 'Course 1'. You encourage your visitors to buy this course by placing a link to the seller's website. However, the homepage only provides general information about the seller. This means that your visitors will have to search for information about the course you have written about. To prevent the visitor from getting lost and not buying the course, place a deep link to the page about 'Course 1'. This is the most relevant page for your visitor and allows them to purchase the course directly.

In order to use the correct link that also registers your sales properly, you need to go through the following steps:

Step 1: Affiliate link
Your unique affiliate link can be found in the campaign overview on the PayPro website. This link ensures that you will be recognized as an affiliate as soon as a sale has taken place through you.

Step 2: Tracker
You place a tracker behind your affiliate link. If your visitor clicks on the affiliate link, you will see the tracker in your statistics. You can invent the tracker by yourself. So a word, or a number, or a unique code. This allows you to see exactly how the affiliate link with the specific tracker has performed. In this example, we use the tracker "visitor profile8".

Step 3: Path to page
After the tracker you then place the path to the page you want your visitors to end up on, minus the domain name. You can find this path by looking at the URL of the specific page. This URL is made up of a domain name and then the information about the page is displayed. See the example below:

Step 4: Resulting affiliate link (with deeplink)
If you've followed the steps closely, you now have your affiliate link, which allows you to send your visitors to a specific page within the seller's domain. In our example, the affiliate link will look like this: ย

What about my commission if I do deeplinking?
Your affiliate link only changes in the way your visitors are redirected. The commission is still allocated by us the way you are used to. In other words, the commission that is connected to the product when your visitor buys it, get on top of your PayPro balance.

Can I also deeplink to a PayPro payment page?
No, that is not possible. You can only deeplink to pages within the seller's domain. In our example, you can therefore only deeplink to a page whose URL starts with:
