PayPro sends emails on behalf of your webshop. Because these emails are sent from a different location than the emails sent from your webshop itself, there is a chance that the emails sent by PayPro may end up in your customer's spam folder. By setting up SPF records, emails sent by PayPro are less likely to be marked as spam, which helps them reach the inbox.
An SPF record is set up in the DNS settings of your web server. Add a TXT record and set the following value:
"v=spf1 include:_spf.paypro.nl ?all"
Good to know:
Not every mail client accepts multiple TXT records. The safest option is to combine all your SPF records into one TXT record.
"v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.website.nl include:website.nl include:_spf.paypro.nl ~all"
It is possible that some spaces are not correctly placed. For instance, make sure there is a space before the tilde "~".
There are online tools available to check your SPF records, such as MXtoolbox.com. PayPro has no affiliation with this company or website.
Gmail or other similar email services usually do not accept adding TXT records.
Updating your TXT record may take up to four hours!
