PayPro has created a direct integration to Opencart 2 and 3. This way you can use PayPro payments for your Opencart webshop. These include:

In the following, this article presents you a step-by-step plan and a video on how to integrate these payments into Opencart 3.

For downloading the PayPro plugin and connecting it to Opencart, you first go to the Opencart Marketplace and look for PayPro by typing in the name in the search bar on the top left. Click on the PayPro extension and download the plugin after the information text. Then click on install.

After the installation is completed, you go to the next sub-header called “extensions” and search for the PayPro payments. To enable the payment methods, you click the green “plus” button, of one of the PayPro payments and when they turn red, you click on “edit” right next to it. Now you have to connect through an API key your Opencart account with the PayPro account to safely use and secure your payments.

To get the API key you go on paypro.com and login to your PayPro account. After you logged in, you land on your PayPro dashboard. Click then on “Integrate Webshop” in the left menu bar, followed by “Through webshow” to start the integration. Enter the name and “URL” of your online store and choose Opencart 3, as well your type of product and preferred language for the checkout page.

When you then continue, you see an overview of the integration steps for the Opencart 3 plugin. You have already completed the download and installation of the plugin, so you can continue directly with the API key that is shown in bold below. Please copy this one, we need it in a minute. Before we return to Opencart, click twice on continue to finish the payment connection on PayPro’s side.

Now you go back to your Opencart account , paste the API key, and activate the payment methods you have already activated in your PayPro account and want to use in this webshop. Click on Save Configuration and this is it.
